Christmas Eve - Day 62

I was at Starbucks this morning finishing up some last minute work when a guy came in to pick up coffee for his family. As he was in line he made a remark that he was so ready for the holidays to before. The barista behind the counter was confused and he responded “You know what I mean”, “I’m over it”.

I don’t know exactly what he meant, but I imagine it’s been a lot and perhaps stressful with family. Perhaps out of his routine, inconveniences, etc.

Either way it was a good reminder how quickly we want to get through many things. Get through the holidays to get back to our routine, normal life, work, etc.

And yet one day we’ll wish to be back in that moment.

So today I’m choosing to show up with grace and letting go, of any expectations.
