If it makes you Happy - Day 57
I spent a lot of my life doing what I felt like I was supposed to do. Following the crowd and living in a way that made other people happy. I never had my own definition of success or understanding of what I really wanted in life.
I’ve been a dreamer my whole life and after a beat down of a year my senior year of college I moved to Colorado. I moved mostly because I was more worried about what would happen with my life if I didn’t go and stayed at home than anything. I didn’t really know what I wanted and was just throwing everything at the wall to see what would stick.
Then one day in a moment of hopelessness I had a massive realization. I had stopped dreaming. I was so consumed in “figuring life out” and feeling like I was behind that I stopped living into or even thinking about what mattered most.
Almost 10 years later and I can tell you that when you show up with joy and chase what you love the universe starts conspiring for you.
So keep dreaming and follow your heart.
